Widnes Vikings Partnership

James Rule the Chief Executive Officer of Widnes Vikings R.L.F.C announced in April that a partnership with Parklands Sports Club had been created after The Vikings had experience unprecedented demand for hospitality before major home games. The new hospitality package was launched which will see the Vikings stakeholders and the Club’s corporate clients enjoying Parklands Sports Club hospitality. Guests will enjoy a two course meal, the Black And White match day programme, special guest interviews from both camps, return executive coach transfers from the Parklands to The Select Stadium and then back to the Parklands post match, plus a South Stand seat.

It was a case of out with the old and in with the new at Parklands as the Freemans rang the changes, spending a six figure sum which was dedicated to extensive building and improvement work on the Sports Club.
The husband and wife partnership recently signed with the Vikings as a Knight of Naughton Park, an initiative that helps the Vikings develop stars of tomorrow.

James Rule, Vikings CEO, said: “I was introduced to Vivienne and Mark by our Commercial Partnerships Manager, Dave Rolt, as they both recently became members of our Knights of Naughton Park initiative.
“I was hugely impressed with the renovation that has taken place at Parklands and it was evident that Vivienne and Mark have a real passion for Widnes Vikings.

“There’s great synergy between us and they are very keen to support the Vikings and our Community Programmes in and around our local community. I look forward to working with them both on a variety of projects as we broaden the footprint of the Widnes Vikings operation by teaming up with the Parklands Sports Club.”

Vivienne Freeman said: “It’s a very exciting time for us and we are very ambitious about what we want to achieve with the Parklands Sports Club. We want it to sit at the heart of the local community and it therefore made perfect sense to get involved with the Vikings who are doing such a fantastic job in engaging with local people through its Community Programmes.”

Mark added: “We will be proudly displaying Vikings imagery through the Sports Club and we want both players and supporters to view Parklands as an extension of their home and a great place to catch up before and after Vikings fixtures or just to pop down for a bite to eat and enjoy the new facilities.”

Additionally, after talks with Widnes CEO James Rule, a new hospitality package has been launched which will see Vikings stakeholders and the Club’s corporate clients enjoying Parklands Sports Club hospitality prior to and after the St.Helens, Warrington & Wigan Warriors home games. Rule added: “We have experienced unprecedented demand for hospitality at our matches this season with the Karalius Suite selling out at every one of our fixtures.
“As a Club we would be negligent to simply put up the sold out signs and leave it there. We have therefore created a new package with our partners The Parklands Sports Club.”

Guests will enjoy a two course meal, the Black And White match day programme, special guest interviews from both camps, return executive coach transfers from the Parklands to The Select Stadium and then back to the Parklands post match, plus a South Stand seat.
